North of Boston, first published in 1914, was Robert Frost's second collection of poetry. Many of the poems take the form of conversations and hence are very suitable for presentation in a dramatic format.

North of Boston (Audible Audio Edition) Robert Frost Ben Stevens Russell Gold Andy Harrington John Burlinson Jennifer Fournier Spoken Realms Books

Perhaps it is a bit silly to review a book so essential to the Frost legend, but having moved to an area "north of Boston" and having taught Frost for about three decades to high school juniors in Ohio and Tennessee, I rather felt it would be an appropriate read in my seventieth year. Though most of the poems were old favorites or, in the least, acquaintances, I was pleased to read some Frost poems that I had never read before. In two words: good stuff.

The formatting is a bit off, so it made it difficult to get into the flow of the verses with how choppy the lines were.
Frost is one of the great poets. North of Boston is his story telling genre, nevertheless it creates an ambiance that is unmistakably rural and intimate. I utterly enjoyed the poems, especially the The Wood Pile.
All of Frost's poetry is special and this collection is no exception.
I love poetry and I have read all of these poems before, but I wanted to read them in the order in which Mr. Frost intended us to have them. When this book came out it was a big hit, but was slightly out shined by EL Master's Spoonriver Anthology. Over time, the poems in Mr. Frost's book have far out shined the gimmicky, yet still powerful Spoonriver so textbook makers sliced up the poems and put them in textbooks. Most children read one or two of these poems and are totally unaware of some of the wonderful works in this book. There are a lot of narrative poems in North of Boston. We get a great collection of modern use of the blank verse form. I write poetry. If I'm going to do any good work, I have to know what other writers have done with the form. For everyone who honors story or the skillful use of words, this is a book you deserve to have and you should have it in our . You should probably have Spoonriver too. There are people with lists. You should make your own list, and this book should be on it.
Great collection of Robert Frost's prose. I love the way he "paints" the rural settings with his words, leaving indelible pictures on the mind. Not something to be read like a novel. These servings are so rich that they must be taken little by little, and so I keep my handy to refer back frequently.
Interesting collection of Robert Frosts works. The collection was very folksy and symbolic americana. It was a truly wonderful read and I wish ity would have been longer.
Robert Frost was one of the first poets I was introduced to as a child. I loved these simple(at the time) poems of feelings ,nature, life. I could almost feel the lack of presence of other while reading most of Frost poems. Over the years, rereading me has brought out the more complicated understanding of his poems and the true beauty of his writings. I'm certain, that this will not be the last time I will read this little book of poetry. I'm in the winter of my life and things are more clear than before! A very rewarding read!
